Direct Osmosis Plants (FO)

Forward Osmosis plants Use the osmotic pressure gradient to provoke the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane from a diluted solution, called food solution, towards a highly concentrated, called solution Hood. As a result of this process, the extractor solution is diluted, thus reducing its osmotic pressure until it reaches the equalization of the feeding.
Forward osmosis is a natural process in which it is not necessary to apply high pressures, so the expected energy cost is lower than that of reverse osmosis. Its applications include wastewater treatment, water purification and water desalination .
These plants are supplied mounted on a stand and can be containerised or not, depending on the needs of the customer.
