KEIKEN referente del sector del Agua y la Eficiencia Energética se ha convertido en B Corp.
February 27, 2024 - KEIKEN has just become a B Corp for its compliance with high standards in terms of social and environmental performance, transparency, and corporate responsibility. B Corps lead a global movement of people who are transforming the global economy to benefit all people and the planet.
As a leader in this systemic change, KEIKEN joins a growing community of companies that are helping to redefine the meaning of business success: a success that is measured not only by economic benefits, but also by the well-being of people, communities and the planet; and thereby ensuring that all companies compete to be not only the best in the world, but above all the best for the world.
The B Corp standard measures management performance across the entire company and covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers . It is awarded by B Lab to leading companies in their social and environmental commitment after they pass a rigorous assessment process. Through this process, companies must provide evidence of their best practices and incorporate their legal commitment to social purpose into their bylaws.
KEIKEN is now part of a community of over 8,000 companies worldwide that have become B Corporations. The B Corp community reflects the European economy with companies from diverse industries and of varying sizes. These include well-known brands such as Patagonia, Alpro, Camper, Triodos Bank, Alessi, Ecoalf, and Innocent. Becoming a B Corp is a significant milestone for KEIKEN and perfectly embodies its strong commitment to generating a positive social and environmental impact through its products, processes, and services. KEIKEN focuses on water conservation, supplying products and equipment with comprehensive technical support for efficient seawater desalination, drinking water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and custom-designed industrial wastewater treatment plants using advanced filter media and activated carbon. Additionally, KEIKEN is committed to energy efficiency and renewable energy, primarily developing photovoltaic and aerothermal energy projects for both individuals and businesses.
Belén Viloria, Executive Director of B Lab Spain, states: “We are delighted to welcome KEIKEN to the B Corp community . This community works to reduce inequality, respect and regenerate the environment, strengthen communities, and create high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose. KEIKEN is a new member of the B Corp community , demonstrating through its example how these results can be achieved.”
